It's funny, really, when I was in school and many years ago, the joke of maths teachers used to be, you've got to be able to do all these calculations because you're never going to be walking around with a calculator in your hand.

I think of it in a way that we're teaching kids to be computers.

So high school in particular has lots of antiquated methods that students sit and work out by hand.
