Jim, you heard anything, uh, really cool this week?

Yeah.

Um, I guess what I've been hearing is about anything in the tackle box is gonna work.

It's that kind of time of year where, um, you're getting into the middle part of August, where, um, the water's starting to cool down a little bit, but it hasn't cooled enough to move everything shallow.

So there, it's that time of year where surface baits and bucktails and gliders and cranks and soft plastics, pretty much anything is gonna work.

You know, keep it, you know, just kind of find them when you get out there.

What's some of the tips and tricks of the trade when you're talking about what to use to catch a muskie?

Yeah, so the most popular lure in the world is a bucktail.

There's many different types, but, you know, a general bucktail in the summer months, a lot of people come out in the summer, vacation fish, whatnot, you know, bucktails are great.

You can throw them, you know, you can reel them in and they go right across the weeds You know, and most of the time in the summer patterns, which we're in now, muskies are going to be in the weeds and on the weed lines.

And, you know, for the maybe anglers that are a little more seasoned anglers, there's basins in the deep, clear lakes, those deeper basins.

Muskies will be roaming around out there.

So there you can use crankbaits and soft plastics.

The other one that I thought was an interesting question, I've never really thought about this, is there a best time of day to go fishing for muskies?

Jim, jump in here.

Well, I think it's a very smart move by Disney and very forward looking.

And I think it has profound implications.

I mean, they're putting a toe into the water of a really a whole new market area, which is user generated content.

I mean, people will be using AI to make their own movies.

And so that's moving into the TikTok area, the YouTube.

you know, the self-created content.

a way, if you want to go to the channels where people are user-generated content and all the rest of it, whether it's social or AI, don't you fundamentally want your characters in those channels? Because if otherwise, they could have risk of just becoming historical artifacts.

Who's the frontrunner?

Well, I have to say it's Paramount Skydance.

By a fairly long length at this point, they clearly had the most compelling argument.

And I think we have to keep in mind with streaming, it's all about scale.

You want as many subscribers as you can get, because the marginal cost of a new subscriber is basically zero.

So all the revenue from that is pure product.

And they can combine the Warner Brothers subscribers with the Paramount subscribers.
