It's a six-part series as we speak with actor and co-producer Jim Parrick.

Like Sam was saying, he did most of the extensive research and development.

I tried to throw some creative ideas out there to see if they could be useful to telling the story because that's kind of my wheelhouse.

But I think what we're both kind of most excited about is what we're hoping to do next.
1:14
which is an initiative, I guess you could call it, that's going to attempt to train local pastors at churches in rural areas to have suicide prevention conversations with people that are at risk and to reconnect people who maybe have estrangement from their churches back with that community so that they're not out there on an island struggling all on their own.

and to incorporate faith and mental health support for these communities.
1:46
And so that's where Sam asked me to kind of be the face of that for the time being until he finds a prettier face, which I'm hoping we can accomplish.

So what drew you, Jim, to this script?
2:36
Really just my relationship with Sam and our friendship.

When we worked on Silo, I think we found out we had a lot in common as men.
2:45
And I grew up in Texas and from a military and ranching family.
2:51
And so I've seen my whole life the toll of trying to feed the country from that angle and that side of things.
2:59
And I'm far too sensitive and... creature comfort oriented to be a rancher myself but i've always had a place in my heart for rural people and ag people and uh yeah without even knowing the details of the project i just said if i could help let me know
