So remind us what the, uh, what the Explorer program is for those that aren't aware.

Well, I, I, I started out in law enforcement, uh, as a teenager in high s- or middle school, 14 years of age, was an Explorer Scout, um, law enforcement explorers.

However, I wanna change this up a little bit because as, uh, everyone knows now with the New Castle Career Center, formerly New Castle Vocational Center, um, we've had-- there, there's a lot of focus on state education has also now been on careers, development careers, everything from working at factories, internships, stuff like that, while kids are still in school or students are still in school.

Um, we also have the career center programs, the firefighter program, the EMS program, and also the criminal justice program.

The one thing good about the firefighter program, those, uh, students that are in that, uh, can get initial certifications for Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, which will, and which will, uh, you know, help them in early advancement, whether they go to a professional fire department or a volunteer fire service.

Also, the EMS program, uh, those, those students get certified as EMTs.

That's one step closer to an advanced EMT or paramedic course that they can go to, and it's, it's, you know, setting them up for good careers.
