What was really the impetus of this work? What made you want to explore belonging and social connectedness in nursing?

Yeah, that's a great question.

And so this is not only my work.

I have amazing colleagues who worked with me on this paper and we were able to bring the perspective of every aspect of nursing from students to like clinical nurses to faculty nurses and And it really started by one simple question, right? So we wanted to look at what makes nurses feel they belong.

So and we had this conversation and we wanted to move beyond the statistics of burnout.

You know, we do have lots of evidence supporting like the impact of burnout on nurses.

the nursing profession, on the workplace environment, on the patient.

Are there any is there anything that as leaders or educators we do maybe unintentionally that can undermine the sense of belonging?
