I mean, your first... visit to another country not just as a as a tourist or something short term but really making this decision this will be for an extended period of time yeah and then with the challenge yeah not speaking the local language maybe also not english so well which is perfect by the way now so you know i can imagine coming as a young woman to a very different country people recognize you as a foreigner eventually or they will make the assumption you are a foreigner just from your looks the way i was identified as a foreigner in asia as well what were the challenges you were facing or what were differences you noticed

Jia HouGUEST
actually they still feel i'm a foreigner so that's that's by definition how it looks like right but uh I have to say at the beginning, I really thought the biggest challenge is about the German language because I couldn't speak a word of German.

Jia HouGUEST
And if you go to bakery or train station, people are not really used to talk with you in English, at least at that time, back to 2012.

Jia HouGUEST
The real challenge, it was always about to understand how people can have completely different assumptions about how things get done or how things work in Germany or in China or Europe and Asia.

Jia HouGUEST
I still can remember very clearly the first or one of the first German words I learned.
