It's April 30th, Mitrice's birthday.

She would've been 39, which is so crazy.

Um, going through the pictures, I did my annual Facebook, Instagram posts, and trying not to get choked up, but just seeing us so young and happy at prom and homecoming, and you just think, like, we would've been celebrating.

This is the last year of your 30s.

Jewel shows us the post she made on Instagram today, a collage of photos of her and Mitrice.

"Today we celebrate you.

Your light will forever shine bright and never be dimmed.

No one will ever be able to take away the amazing daughter, sister, and person and friend that you are.

Once in a while, Mitrice would slip up and get in trouble.

So here's, like, a fun Mitrice story.

She would get in trouble, and so her mom would make her wear a uniform to school, although our school wasn't uniform.

So then she would be, like, the only girl at school in a uniform.

I mean, this is back in, like, the 2000s, like, late '90s, where fashion was important.

So she's wearing these long plaid skirts with, like, high socks and ugly sweatshirts and, like, collared shirts in a school where, you know, everybody is trying to figure out the next, like, sweat tracksuit or, you know.

Like, so that was her.

At one of the many proms Mitrice went to, he did something that became legendary among her friends.
