Yeah, it's a joke.

Okay, so that pissed me off.

But it seemed like up until that point, the story was very cohesive.

It was easy to understand, easy to follow.

And once we got past that point, I felt like the story was all over the place.

That's where it's almost like I feel the story or this trade didn't capture every bit of the story that it needed to for me to enjoy the entire thing.

Because I didn't realize going into this that this was a shared universe inside of IDW, which clearly it is, right? There's GI Joe involved.
