how would you like get around that?
12:35
Yeah, I mean, that's going to be tricky, right? Because I mean, the nice thing with wide is you're going to require less of that ankle range of motion.
12:42
If they start to get to where, yeah, if you get a stance width, where especially like, I mean, a box squat's an easy way to sort of set a target, work a range of motion, control that rep to rep, and then start to play with stance width.
12:54
So, I mean, we could set up a strong working weight for a box squat where we're like, oh, that's heavy enough.
13:00
you'll see some breakdown and then we can play with like i mean we'll chalk the floor sometimes and video everything and start moving their feet out one inch at a time and just sort of see what they're like ranges okay it's starting to impinge here a little bit okay if we come half an inch in does that back off that uh torque in the hips and if it does they're like okay well that's kind of what we're working with because we can't go wide if the knees are gonna drawn in uh into a shitty position right um So, it depends on what like is going on there if the ankle mobility is poor, because it's just poor range of motion, but they do nothing for mobility, nor ever have.
13:42
I mean, and same thing would be true with the hips it was like okay well let's start adding I mean.
13:47
you know, let's start adding some mobility work in and see if we can slowly gain range of motion.

Jesse, um, with just to put a bow tie on this and to get the whole reason why we set up this podcast, how do I get a lean to squat?
