Did that help with this latest iteration? Because I know as a viewer, it made a huge difference.

Yeah, of course.

But I mean, Star Trek has always been, it's up its time, you know? So the original series, the women were in micro mini skirts because it was the 60s and that's what they wore and that was what they wanted to see and it was network television.

And in, you know, the 90s for Voyager and, you know, that was network television in the 1990s.

And that was, you know, they wanted to get attention and they wanted a sexy character.

And I've been asked about that a lot with that costume and why I was okay with that.

The only reason that I was okay with that is because of the way the character was written.

Right.

Right.

So he knew this about himself, Shaw, I mean, the character, um, and knew his strong bias against the Borg, and still chose a former Borg as his first officer.

Um, and especially when you see at the end in the last episode when he, he, he, you know, Seven watches his, um, his officer review of her, which was done before the, the events of season three.

Mm-hmm.

Um, then you learn that he did appreciate her.

He's, he was a jerk and he wasn't very respectful and he, you know, wasn't very pleasant, but he did always understand her value.

Um, and so that already, I think, says a lot about him [laughs].

That's a lot better off than where a lot of us are now, in that we just, we don't wanna challenge ourselves in any way.
