With all the stuff that you're doing, what made you dig your teeth into this issue?

Sure.

Well, so, you know, I'll walk back down memory lane for just a second that my academic career in fisheries really started in Northern California at Humboldt State, where I got a degree in fisheries.

That's where I got turned, you know, the issue there was that I got, I was always wondering how it is, you know, how I could stay around the ocean.

I grew up around the ocean.

My dad was a very famous naval fighter pilot.

And we lived basically coast to coast.
