like you know what you're doing you're doing it on purpose
27:32
you know what i mean but you don't really know how that pertains to the law like you like you can't really go to a judge look how annoying they're being you can't really say that that isn't anyway and i'm exactly what it is like it just looks like annoying but it's not it obfuscates and occludes and covers up like real things that you might be bringing up.
27:57
So what Dispute Buddy would do, so I'll go back to my one when I put mine through with my ex, it found all these patterns that I just didn't know that were going on.
28:08
And one of the things it found was like, it will find that, it will figure out that that is a style of control to control the narrative or control what they're talking about or to keep you confused so our system knows that confusion is one of the tools of coercive control really yes because our system our system understands what coercive control is and so it will go and hunt out system like if it understands the systems of it you know you think about ai is really good patterns because all it's doing is predicting what the most likely thing is letter or pattern or piece of code or whatever's going to come next so if you train it and explain to it that you know this is what coercive control looks like it'll go oh i found these patterns over here that you haven't even noticed and so like one of the patterns that it found of mine which i it sounds really obvious when i say it but i didn't notice it was that every time I brought up my ex is a meth addict and every time I addressed anything to do with his smoking meth and I think this was at the time when he was claiming that it didn't happen that I was making it up he would um he he always had this narrative of oh well you're an alcoholic you're the worst alcoholic I've ever met by the way I don't drink so you know I don't I don't drink but And he'd say, you're the worst alcoholic I've ever met.
29:37
And he'd say things like, I had to look after the kids while you went to whatever.
29:43
What do you call it? Rehab, yeah.
29:44
Didn't happen, right? Didn't happen, but then...

Does it give you advice on what to say and how to respond and stuff? No? Never, never.
3:02
Do, do the numbers, um, take into account, I suppose, perhaps how much capital one business is trying to raise than another? So e- could it be that, that women-only teams are seeking less capital or something?
3:16
Well, I think it's more that, um, women-only teams are completely underestimated and given less capital by, uh, venture capital firms.
3:26
So for instance, um, if you look at the number of deals that, um, women-only teams get.
3:33
So if you think about, um, like if you look at it like this.
3:37
Let's say, um, let's say for instance my business Dispute Buddy was going for funding, and I went round all the different venture capital firms and all the different angel groups and, and I got funding from some of them.
3:47
That would count as like one deal.
3:49
Let's call that one deal.

Um, and you know, people do tend to immediately get defensive when they say, "No, well, uh, you know..." But h- but here we a- we, here we have the research, here we have the data proving, um, that it's actually happening.
3:02
Do the numbers take into account, I suppose, perhaps how much capital one business is trying to raise than another? So could it be that women-only teams are seeking less capital or something?

If you think about, like, if you look at it like this, let's say, for instance, my business dispute buddy was going for funding, and I went around all the different venture capital firms and all the different angel groups, and I got funding from some of them, that would count as like one deal, let's call it.
3:49
that one deal and then let's look at well how much money did they invest in me it's not necessarily how much teams ask for it's how much they are able to raise and so what we can see is that whilst women-only teams raised uh like the number of deals represented 12 of all deals last year they only were given six percent of all capital and that's crazy why would we give exact team Businesses that are building high-growth businesses, half the amount, just depending on their gender.
4:22
For instance, when we know that all the data tells us that women-only founder teams actually are much more capital efficient, they generate more revenue on less investment, they exit faster, they're leaner with their capital.
4:36
So it's a really poor idea to underfund women-led businesses.
