... which is that, like, for many of us, when we get into this work, we have, like, a structured way that we view ourselves and we view the world, and there's often...

Jenny RomanczykGUEST
Like, I work with a lot of people who are very externally motivated, right, by being good, by having, like, [clears throat] "I wanna be this kind of person, so I'm gonna do these kinds of things," and we aren't connected to what we actually want and feel.

Jenny RomanczykGUEST
And to actually kind of, like, break that down and move into that space of being more, like, intrinsically motivated, like, there is, like, this breakdown of what we've, we're used to, uh, and we have to kind of rebuild this really.

Jenny RomanczykGUEST
And I say that because I think that it can almost be like to learn some of these tools and skills is, like, like learning how to float in a pool or learning how to ride a bike, which is that, like, you can only describe it so much.

I don't wanna say that someone has to deeply feel their emotional experience to be there for someone else, but how we might look at someone and think they need to understand me, and then sometimes acceptance of they may not be comfortable with their own emotional experience, then i- it's not a reflection of me and mine, but I might simply mirror the fact that like this isn't easy to feel and these are emotions, and I'm kind of, you know, you're gonna feel your own too unless you wanna push that out, if that makes sense.
