Like, how did that come? I'm just fascinated by how that initial piece came together and how you then kind of divvied up what each of you did.

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
Like the conversation was, what in God's name are we meant to be taking? You know, how much vitamin D are we meant to be taking? Did you hear that thing that you can't take copper and zinc at the same time? And you know, and if you're, if you're going to be, um, you know, taking magnesium, what form of magnesium should we take? You know, we all had sleep disturbance.

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
We were heading into midlife and it was, we were all connected again because of zoom.

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
So it was, you know, if I had finished this course and Louise and I were peppering her with questions about what should we be taking? And it became so clear that this was like we all have a reasonable level of education.
22 MINS LATER

Aoife MatthewsGUEST
So that was kind of a long... a lot much longer journey than we thought before we actually found the right manufacturing partner who believed in our vision and you know and we made it work and but it definitely added on I think an extra year and we had quite a few highs and lows during that process yeah we were delighted that we stuck to our guns and we ended up with the product that we're so proud of but it would have been so easy just to kind of give in you know after a year to say right we need to we need to get this on the market but um so it took us longer than we expected but for good reason yeah

And it's one of the reasons, because you experienced overwhelm and burnout, is that why?

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
You know, when I was younger, I probably would've done a lot of triathlons and endurance sports, and work was busy and, you know, I love a night on the tiles and going out with my friends, and that was fine in my 20s, you know, and even my early 30s.

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
But then I think when you layer in motherhood, and that's such a blessing, but all the life admin that comes with that and then work becoming more demanding the more senior you become, it just wasn't working for me at all.

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
So during COVID, there was three rounds of COVID and a dose of shingles that just had me on the floor, and that was a real wake-up call.

Jenny O'ConnellGUEST
So I called my friend, Aoife Matthews, who's my co-founder, and she's a great friend of my older sisters.
