um so basically what happens is there are of there are like three real main characters that we meet at this point we have hunter who will be the protagonist for everything we have mystery who is hunter's mother and we have the pimp slash priest and he is the pimp of the mother uh mystery and also a priest who works at a church uh he kind of has a bit of a double life going on um Basically, Mr. E winds up pregnant with Hunter, decides, fuck this, I can't raise a kid in a fucking brothel.

And so she runs away out to the middle of bumfuck nowhere, to a place that we call the lake or whatever, because there's...

Believe it or not, there's a lake there.

But, um...

She runs away, births Hunter, and raises him there.

And all the while, as Hunter's growing up, he's wondering, okay, but why is my mom so secretive? What the fuck is she hiding? And that's kind of the general vibe of Act 1.
