12:38
How do you stand on the AI debate this week?
12:42
Well, I think that what we're seeing right now with these big AI companies is an effort to find a way so they can talk to one another, and perhaps they need to.
12:53
Communication is very important.
12:56
But I worry that what they're trying to do is create regulations that benefit themselves, and they're pulling the ladder up from the smaller companies who are in the space and trying to compete.
13:06
They're trying to protect their own space, and they're not worried about the smaller companies.
13:13
I'm not someone who, I'm never going to be someone who's like, oh, we need more regulation.
13:18
That isn't something I would ever do.
14:51
What's your take on our chances of keeping the house?
36:01
Well, we
36:02
should kick them out, but between now and 2028, we have 26, 27 months before that election happens.
36:12
Between now and then, we have to get this bill passed so that we have proof of citizenship to register to vote and voter ID in the 2028 election.
36:22
We need it in this election.
36:24
At the very least, we need voter ID in this election.
36:28
So if all I'm doing is focused on the election in two years from now, and it is on Senator Thune, then I'm losing the opportunity to work on the rest of the elections around the country, which I'm trying to make more secure.
36:42
I understand you're frustrated.
39:17
So the parliamentarian rejects it, which we know is going to
34:31
Jenny Beth, is this going to backfire on the on the communist movement that, you know, people are saying that they basically are dissing for a better word or mocking our 250 birthday? Is this going to backfire or not? Are we in a country now where nobody really believes in what we're doing or why we're here?
34:54
I think that there are people who don't understand why we're here and what we're doing.
34:58
And I think that a lot of that comes from what we've seen happening in our education system.
35:03
And a lot of that comes from the fact that we've had a lot, just massive amounts of immigration happening in this country without actual assimilation.
35:14
And both of those combined are creating the perfect scenario for the Marxist attempt to take over our country.
35:27
I think that first, let me just say something about the Great American State Fair.
35:33
I went to the Great American State Fair.
40:03
Where are people's heads? What do they want? Congress to do on Save, on election integrity? What do they want to hear from the president?
Kerry DunstHOST
31:45
Now, as we go from the primaries to the midterms, really just around the corner, campaigning for Paxton and all of these people who've survived the primaries will kick off immediately, any themes or projections that you're following as we go into the midterms?
32:01
Well, I think that as we go into the midterms, one, gas prices are going to be a factor, and they do need to come down.
32:08
I know President Trump is working on that very hard.
32:11
He felt like it was absolutely the right thing to do to make sure Iran does not have a nuclear weapon, and I appreciate that.
32:19
He also feels the pressure to do something about gas prices, so I think the whole political world and all of America right now are watching the price at the pump.
32:31
Assuming that that gets stabilized, I think that what voters are going to do is, the, the, and the candidates are going to have to do is go and make the case about what they [laughs] are doing to improve how the country has been in the last two years versus what it was four years prior.
32:52
And I, I think that the Republicans in both the House, [coughs] pardon me, the House and the Senate are completely up to that task.
Kerry DunstHOST
34:04
What is the arc of the current Republican Party? Because many people who might be described somewhat as Tea Party were the very ones that also President Trump, uh, felt the need to primary.
26:38
Just talk to me about what we know so far about process.
26:41
Okay, let me talk about the process.
26:43
And I think that there are people in your audience who are probably skeptical of this process and they don't trust it.
26:49
And I understand that because we are conditioned because of the actions of the leadership and the establishment for so long, we are conditioned not to trust them.
27:01
And I think you always have to trust and verify.
27:03
So people don't worry.
27:05
I haven't lost my mind when I earlier was saying that I appreciate what Thune has done.
31:35
Where do people, the call to action, where do they go for your, you're going to stick with me, where do they go for your action center? Where do folks go? You
22:47
[laughs]
22:47
... appreciate what Thune has done.
22:50
But we also have to understand, if we want this bill to pass into law, it has to move through the Senate.
22:57
And that means Thune has to do something.
23:00
And when he does what we're asking, I think he deserves the credit for doing that.
23:05
It doesn't mean we don't keep an eye on it, but that's what's happening.
23:09
So right now, they're just basically filling time, and they're giving some speeches, and people are flying into DC.
27:18
Where do they go for your action center? Where do folks go?
55:35
That's okay.
55:36
We, we need to make sure that we are smoking the Democrats out.
55:39
Right now, the Republicans intend to have this prolonged debate, and I appreciate that s-the Senate Majority Leader Thune is actually doing this.
55:49
He's not just doing some sort of quick cloture to sweep it under the rug and say that, that he, he voted, and that's it.
55:56
He is having a real debate.
55:58
He wants to talk about the issues.
55:59
Let the Democrats go defend why they want to-- not to ensure that only American citizens are voting in American elections.
57:21
Yeah
60:47
Jenny Beth, you have to unmute yourself.
60:49
Sorry about that.
60:50
Steve, that is exactly the plan.
60:53
We need to make sure that we are smoking the Democrats out.
60:56
Right now, the Republicans intend to have this prolonged debate.
61:01
And I appreciate that the Senate Majority Leader Thune is actually doing this.
61:06
He's not just doing some sort of quick cloture to sweep it under the rug and say that, that he voted and that's it.
37:13
Just go through what you did and, and you and Cleta talked over the weekend, and I'm gonna get Cleta back here in a second, about exactly what we're gonna do about making sure that this audience and all grassroots members and all of the Trump MAGA base are making sure their voice is as heard as we go through this historic, uh, evolution, uh, to, uh, to, uh, attempt to pass the Save America Act and make it into law and have President Trump sign it, ma'am.
37:44
Okay.
37:44
Th- so this is important.
37:46
When it comes to calls to action, sometimes you have to give carrots to the politicians, and sometimes you have to give figurative st- sticks to them, and I learned this from Cleta back in 2010.
37:59
And right now, the, um, Senator Thune is doing what we have asked, and the Republicans, if they actually all do what we think they're going to do and vote to bring this bill to the floor, to the motion to proceed to bring it to the floor, that's doing what we've been asking for the last several weeks.
38:19
And so if that happens, and it looks like it's going to, once the debate opens, we've gotta make sure that we are thanking the Republican side, thanking them for bringing it to the floor, and doing everything we can to keep them talking about the bill and convince them that we want it to, to pass in final passage.
38:39
Then the figurative sticks have to change from being focused on Republicans not doing what we want over to the Democrat side and urging the Democrats to do what 65% of Americans want, which is to pass the Save America Act.

10 MINS LATER

48:54
Ma'am.
33:45
What we're going to do about making sure that this audience and all grassroots members and all of the Trump mega base are making sure their voices is heard as we go through this historic evolution to to attempt to pass the Save America Act and make it into law and have President Trump sign it, ma'am.
34:07
Okay, so this is important when it comes to calls to action, sometimes you have to give carrots to the politicians and sometimes you have to give figurative sticks to them and I learned this from Cleta back in 2010 and right now.
34:24
The Senator Thune is doing what we have asked.
34:29
And the Republicans, if they actually all do what we think they're going to do and vote to bring this bill to the floor, to the motion to proceed to bring it to the floor, that's doing what we've been asking for the last several weeks.
34:42
And so if that happens and it looks like it's going to, once the debate opens, we've got to make sure that we are thanking the Republican side, thanking them for bringing it to the floor and doing everything we can to keep them talking about the bill and convince them that we want it to pass in final passage.
35:03
Then the figurative sticks have to change from being focused on Republicans not doing what we want over to the Democrat side and urging the Democrats to do what 65% of Americans want, which is to pass the Save America Act.
35:17
Eighty four percent of Americans want only Americans voting, American citizens voting in American elections.

9 MINS LATER

44:38
Is this performative or do you, in your professional opinion, see a way that this is more than just getting the Cornons and the Thunes off the hook and of president trump's wrath and that we could actually get the save act president trump's version of it passed in the senate and sent back to the house uh for uh for passage and then eventually at some point in time get it on president trump's desk for signing and then let all the lawsuits take place that there will be lawsuits this will be if this passes trump signs it will be in the supreme court on this one sometime uh before their session ends at the end of june ma'am
21:06
Can you walk us through your polling and then your recommendations how we fight this?
21:10
Yes.
21:11
And remember, the Save America Act will require, require proof of citizenship to register to vote and voter ID, and then President Trump wants a few other things added, including changing, um, who can get mail-in ballots to make it military and then people who are, uh, disabled or, or, um, just not able to get to the polls because they're sick.
21:33
So we did some polling because we, w- we, we knew what was gonna happen.
21:37
It, it's kinda predictable with the Senate.
21:39
They don't wanna change.
21:40
The way this bill originated, it was in the Senate as a bill, it went over to the House, the House completely replaced the text with an amendment, put, made it the Save America Act, sent it back to the Senate as a message.
20:41
Can you walk us through your polling and then your recommendations, how we fight this?
20:45
Yes, and remember, the Save America Act will require proof of citizenship to register to vote and voter ID.
20:52
And then President Trump wants a few other things added, including changing who can get mail-in ballots to make it military and then people who are disabled or just not able to get to the polls because they're sick.
21:08
So we did some polling because we knew what was going to happen.
21:12
It's kind of predictable with the Senate.
21:14
They don't want to change the way this bill originated.
21:17
It was in the Senate as a bill.
25:09
What's your recommendation? Do you think going into this, because you fought this battle so many times, to make sure it's not just the optics of there was a debate, but that we actually start to move on the standing filibuster?
7:50
(laughs)
7:50
... we are on this Only Citizens Vote bus tour to get Congress to pass the SAVE Act.
7:55
Now, of course, the House has already passed it twice, once last Congress, once this Congress.
8:00
But we need the Senate to take action.
8:02
And our goal is to get it attached to must-pass legislation in September, um, bo- as they're dealing with government funding.
8:09
We began on Monday in California.
8:11
We're in Texas today.

17 MINS LATER

25:13
Walk our audience through what you mean by that.
