Now, speaking of, you know, how that works, are you actually talking to someone or is it synchronous or asynchronous? There is a little bit of evidence around the difference between whether remote is better and so on.
15:27
Yeah.
15:28
So compared to control, if it's all you got, it's a little better.
15:32
The numbers there, 28% versus nine.
15:37
Pretty consistent that the control group is about 10%.
15:40
So 10% of people get better over time.
15:43
But yeah, so 28% versus nine in the remote.

9 MINS LATER

24:49
Does that make sense? Yeah.

What first led you to dedicate your life to helping these families?
1:55
When my husband passed away, I was really angry.
2:02
I had spent the last two years of his life taking care of him, and my world was very, very small because there were no actionable resources for me to help take care of him.
2:18
There were a ton of resources for the actual alcoholic.
2:21
There were a ton of resources for somebody who had diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's.
2:37
But nobody who had... like liver disease or like considered like alcoholism who was just literally wasting away and dying and I nobody in his family wanted to deal with him I chose to stay that was my choice but I was very angry and so I was like there there I know there are more people in my situation and I was just angry I was like I if nobody else is gonna create actionable resources, then I'm going to.
5:01
Jennifer, what would you tell someone listening today who feels completely isolated and honestly doesn't believe anyone could understand what they're living through?
5:14
My big message... for the side of it like living with an alcoholic and i i'm specifically talking mostly to you know women or partners who are living with an alcoholic and it could be anyone really a family member um but there your world gets really really small but you do have a choice You have to really, really decide what it is that you want on the other side of this.

29:39
That is not the norm.
29:41
I did.
29:42
I saved up $2,000, got an FHA loan.
29:45
I still own it in Manassas.
29:46
Yeah, it was awesome.
29:47
And you know what's sad, guys, we should be talking about? The average first-time buyer age United States now is in the 40s, which is crazy.
29:53
It used to be in the 20s.
31:01
But would you, if you were, if you were 40 years old and you were gonna be a first-time, uh, homeowner, would you, would you hire a 19-year-old or a 20-year-old to be your real estate agent?
