Mm-hmm.
5:33
When I talk about insomnia, I'm talking about a chronic sleep problem.
5:37
Our clinical definition is that a person has difficulties with sleep at least three times a week for at least three months, and that it's severe enough that it affects how they feel or function during the day.
5:48
Um, so in that instance, that kind of insomnia occurs in about 10% of men and about 20% of women.
5:56
The other thing I'll add is that under periods of stress, that goes up.
6:00
So we saw an increase, for example, during the COVID pandemic.
6:04
You see it locally after things like natural disasters.
9:08
If someone is managing a mental illness, how can sleep problems affect it? So if someone has a diagnosis and they're working on it, but if they have sleep issues, what can we see happen?

5:23
Like I w- like that was it for like a couple years.
5:26
I was really mad at her 'cause I had this special bath that was coming, and she blew it up for me and didn't trust me.
5:32
So, but as an adult, she was one of the most amazing people I've ever known.
5:38
And, um, all my friends loved her.
5:41
And she got divorced in the '50s, I believe.

We come out here today to do a fundraiser to help us with our cost, to keep up the website, the office space, and to help us be able to do our materials to do the mental health awareness of depression.
22:01
Where can they find you and all the things?
22:03
We have a website, rayofhopeministry.org. You can go pull us up on, and it will tell you where you can make donations.
22:12
We also have Facebook, um, Ray of Hope Ministry Incorporated on Facebook.
