Thank you.
134:24
My name is Jennifer Boss.
134:25
I live in Antioch, Illinois.
134:27
I'm the mother of an angel named Megan Boss, and I'm here because my daughter's tragic and gruesome death has exposed catastrophic failures in immigration enforcement and drug trafficking policies.
134:39
The investigation into her death continues, but one truth is painfully clear.
134:45
Dangerous gaps in our system allowed an illegal alien to exploit our laws, and my daughter paid the ultimate price.
134:54
Losing Megan and then being forced to navigate multiple broken systems while drowning in grief taught me that policies carrying life or death consequences cannot remain political talking points.

I think you've answered my question in your last two minutes of your testimony, but I'd like to give you an opportunity to say it once again, how you feel about Mr. Blanch and the prospects of his continued leadership at the Justice Department.
4:11
And after he was arrested, Jennifer, did Governor Pritzker come in and ask and demand that he be deported back to Mexico?
4:20
First of all, I have to clarify, she was not dismembered.
4:24
That was a mistaken fact that really flew through social media.
4:31
But it wasn't true, but she was.
4:33
Been in a garbage can full of bleach for 51 days before she was located while we searched for her.
4:40
Governor Pritzker never contacted me.
4:44
He's never mentioned our case.
5:45
And what was the premise of your testimony? How did you start out your conversation?
29:27
If you can, can you take me through some of it so the people at home know what happened to her and why she should still be here?
29:34
Sure.
29:36
Although I cannot say that he murdered her.
29:39
Her death investigation is still ongoing.
29:42
He he she went to his house and he claims that she died in his home and he was scared.
29:54
of being found out so he didn't report it he didn't call for help instead he put her in his garbage can in his backyard and kept her covered in bleach for 51 days while we searched for her um when she was located and and she was located by the use of her telephone records he destroyed her phone so we had no way to track it for location um But they did find out that he was the last one she spoke to.
30:23
So that's how we were able to find her eventually.
32:16
I cannot imagine having to think about my son found that way and then be here a year later I happen to do a TV interview about this, Jennifer.
