Because they're really engaged and just trying to make sure that the energy that we create translates into that action to serve the families.

get it out there and say tangibly, you know, this is what that donation goes toward.

You know, on average, a family annually will spend about $7,500 when you think about all those pieces, right? And so we like to just give those tangible examples so they actually know, you know, be very transparent that this is why this day of giving is so important.

You are really making an impact to get us to the end of the year but we never know when that phone call will come that we will help another family, another family.

That violence hit a crescendo in the fall of 1985.

There's a lot of stuff going on.

There's a lot of really bad stuff, a lot of scary stuff.

And then when you get to an 11-year-old girl killed on September 10th, 1985, you get another 11-year-old girl killed Halloween 1985.

It's just one thing after another thing.

She lived in Baytown at the time and now produces a podcast called Crude Acts that focuses on the crimes of Southeast Texas.

September 10th, 1985, a little girl was killed in Mont Bellevue.

It's scary.
