So can you talk about how your space might differ from the rest of everyone here?
16:56
Yeah, yeah.
16:56
'Cause I think, I think, like, hearing everyone's kind of notes, I think there's, like, a lot of, like, overlap and similarity.
17:03
And I guess, like, when I think about space and I think about creating spaces, I think specifically the research has dealt with two spaces.
17:11
So a lot of my work is around the idea of a listening room and these, like, shared collective spaces where people can gather and listen to music, and primarily I've worked with galleries and radio stations, right? So I think with the gallery setting, I like it as a space because there's almost this level of, like, intentionality and, like, aura that is created, right? So, like, if you go to an exhibition, even if you might not be familiar with the artist or with even the practice, there's a level of, like, I don't wanna say reverence, but you step into the space, and there's, like, this kind of...
17:41
There's this aura that's created that makes you maybe appreciate or whatnot.
17:44
So I find that when I do these different listening experiences in galleries, there's this already kind of, like, set level of spatial awareness you can say that is already baked into the experience, right? So I can kind of use these kind of constructs that are already available to then help highlight the work I'm doing, right? Um, but then when it comes to the radio, also another, like, collective listening experience I'm interested in.
