Give us a little background.

[laughs] That's a lot of background.

Uh, let me just say that I went to, to grad school in photography, not even sure I would pursue a career in photography, but I, I loved, still do, loved photography, and I went to grad school for two years in Chicago.

When I got out, and by then I already had one child and another on the way, so I needed to make a living.

And a, and a teaching job in photography opened up in Houston, so I managed to get that right out of grad school.

That would be the spring of 1968.

And so I moved back to Houston, where I had gone to undergraduate school.
