So conventional, organic, and regenerative.

Rodale Institute looks at agriculture like a continuum, right? So over here on one side, you have chemical conventional farming.

That's the predominant system in the United States for the last 50 to 70 years.

most of America's farmland is managed using chemical conventional approaches.

And we basically have created a monoculture in agriculture, which means that most farms farm only a couple of things.

So corn and soybeans is sort of the predominant system, especially here in Pennsylvania and in the Midwest.

And that system has been sort of backstopped by the agrochemical companies who have had a huge influence on our land grant system.

Can you talk a little bit as the CEO of Rodale about these intertwined legacies and how they have spawned the current movement?

Yeah, it's a very fascinating family legacy.

J.I. Rodale, first of all, was not a farmer.

He was a wealthy entrepreneur from New York City.

He was a business guy, and he was pretty successful in his early 20s.

I should mention that he came from an impoverished family.
