AI at Work: Workforce Shifts, Rogue Agents and Enigma
M
18:57Mike VizardHOST
Are we reaching a point where because of AI agents that we finally, to Chris's point, are going to go back in and do security right and maybe this is a good thing?
J
19:08Jeff ReichGUEST
You know how many times I've been asked that question over the decades for every new technology that's out there? The difference with AI, though, is speed and scale without question.
J
19:21Jeff ReichGUEST
That's the difference between that and cloud or distributed computing or client server, you know, go back as far as you want.
J
19:31Jeff ReichGUEST
So I think the answer is without, you know, Jackson, I'm here this week, so I'll be the stand-in cynic.

Are there other things that this may play out for? Because we have other things that are encrypted and if people can gain access to that and with a little help from AI, even before I have a quantum computer, Might we see more of these interesting little projects that might decrypt stuff that's a little more current?
Open AI Models, Agent Readiness and the Claude Conduct Debate
M
3:05Mike VizardHOST
From your perspective, have we turned a corner here? Because I think a lot of folks are starting to realize, well, AI models, you know, the magic is not as complex as everybody initially may have thought.
J
3:17Jeff ReichGUEST
So I do think we've turned a corner in a couple different ways, but not necessarily towards the, oh, hey, this shouldn't be as expensive or complex as we originally thought.
J
3:30Jeff ReichGUEST
Because like anything, when you take away some of the rules, or I'll use the cliche guardrails, then you run the risk of what's it going to do.
J
3:40Jeff ReichGUEST
And I think we need to recognize open way is not always the same as open source.
J
3:48Jeff ReichGUEST
And with a traditionally full-weight model, you have a more built-in bias, which may or may not be good, but you also have the built-in history of here's what...

So from a realistic perspective, I mean, How is an internal IT team that has all these different tasks and operations to do across security and IT going to manage the cognitive load of hundreds or thousands of AI agents that are asynchronously doing things that may or may not be orchestrated or may not even know about each other?
