What have you made of the Roses so far?

Yeah, obviously it hasn't been the smooth start as you'd expect coming into a Games or major event, but I think most teams go through their hiccups and their hurdles and speed bumps, so to speak.

Obviously, losing that Metcalf so close to the Games, but being able to have Ellicott that has come in and I think is a great option in there.

And then obviously, They've been able to stand their authority early on in the competition, but then that tough second game against the Australian, I think just left sort of wondering and sort of found wanting.

But for me, they're a side that haven't yet found their, I guess, their strongest lineup.

Still don't really know their strongest combinations.

The coaching staff and the athletes are still sort of sussing each other out but one thing I do know being part of the England Roses for over two decades is the culture is strong and it doesn't matter what the outside noise says and what's going on almost sometimes on the court that strength from off the court will kind of carry them through and so I mean I'm excited to see and watch them kind of progress they obviously had some good wins having a great win against Tonga as well so I expect them to kind of keep building from that and building into the big last game of their pool against South Africa.

As a player, would you rather that there was a bit more time to build connections? Because at the minute, it doesn't feel like they've done that, but they have displayed a versatility to a degree.
