So what changes with an advanced conductor, and where do older lines run into their limits?

The, uh, the way to think about transmission lines is they are the main highway for moving lots of power from point A to point B.

And the technology that most of the time you'll see out in the wild is technology that was developed in the 19th century.

Uh, and so it has a spring steel core for strength.

It has, uh, hardened aluminum to move the power.

Um, and it was sufficient for 19th and 20th century needs.

And what we're up against today is, uh, a situation where we have, uh, 21st century challenges, and we need to add capacity much faster.

So it seems that, well, the how much part of the question that, that kind of has remained, right? But now it's more of instead of an if, it's more of a how fast can you implement this solution? Because it's becoming a, a question of pace rather than whether or not new investment in infrastructure is gonna happen.
