And so we go to a bar one night after he, couple weeks after this happened, and it was an open mic night, and I saw these guys setting up the stage.

And I was just like, "Well, they don't have a drummer." I was like, I asked the bartender, "Hey, can you tell these guys I'm from Connecticut, see if I can sit in with them?" And so I went up, played a couple songs with them, and then afterwards the bass player came up, and he's like, "Look, you know, our drummer and guitar player quit, like, two days ago.

Can you fill in till we find somebody else to take their place?" I was like, "Well, yeah, I've got my drums.

I'm here for about a month and a half, and I, I can do that." In the course of that month and a half, I mean, we bonded on so many levels musically and personally, and they were...

Eventually they said, "Look, we, we want you to move to Texas with us." This was Bend, Oregon, we were pl- where I, I met them, and we got an opportunity to play every night of the week and just get better.
