I mean, these are just good-

good-Salt of the earth folks.

Neither one of them grew up with much.

Of course, in that era a lot of Mississippi folks didn't during the, the Depression and things like that.

But, uh, but they w- we were very blessed.

Uh, our children, the, the, the, the children were very blessed.

Had a good Christian home growing up and a lot of discipline and never, never, never had a lot, but didn't go without either, and just, just, just a blessed upbringing.

If you were not a hairstylist, what do you think you might be doing as a career?

Uh, I, I would, um...

Fun, fun question.

So I had, I worked in New York City for Fashion Week, and I wrote as, like, a editor for six years in the beginning of my career, and I had a choice: Do I stay in the hair or do I lean more into, like, editorial? Like, not doing hair, like writing, Vo- that type of level, like Vogue, like going into fashion.

So, and I chose hair.

I, I had fun.

I learned what I needed to learn, um, in New York, and then I opened my salon.

Do you have a, a pet peeve, uh, with situations out in the world or people? What's, what's one of your pet peeves out there?

[laughs]

... we- w- wish I was there, w- wish I was there with you guys.

But we've been on a, you talk about recruiting, we've been on a perpetual visit and, and, I mean, literally, like one player to the next to the next.

Really, the, the day-to-day's been tough with every weekend.

Um, I actually go- gave our staff off today, a, uh, uh, because USM has graduation, and you can't get to the offices because of parking and so forth.

And so I just told our staff today, I said, "Y'all go home." And we had gotten a, a signee yesterday, big signee, br- kid named Brandon Weston, and, uh, that's gonna, that's gonna fill out our roster.

And, um, so anyway, I told them to celebrate, take, take the rest of the day off.

No, I, I'll just tell you that he's, he just about made every three-pointer that he shot when we played against him, so there's nothing we could do.
