Hey, before we get going, I want you to tell the story for those that haven't heard it about your hole in one at waste management and the car situation there.

Jay DelsingGUEST
Well, so I'm standing on the T and it was my shot and we didn't have the four level bleachers like they have now, the hospitality, but they had this, we called it stadium seating.

Jay DelsingGUEST
So the the hillside went straight up and they had bleacher kind of bleachers carved into the hill.

Jay DelsingGUEST
And I'll never, my routine is I put the ball on the ground and get behind the ball, see my shot and hit it.

Randy KarrakerHOST
Is the difficulty in putting together four great rounds like that more physical or mental? What do you think?

What have you noticed about the trend of removing trees from these very prestigious golf courses?

Jay DelsingGUEST
Well, what's happened, you guys, is as time goes on, if you look and see who is the designer at Shinnecock, there's about 10 or 12 guys.

Jay DelsingGUEST
So as time goes on, you know, they're trying to keep these golf courses relevant.

Jay DelsingGUEST
There's a power struggle with how far the ball is going, and they're trying to figure out that as well.

Jay DelsingGUEST
When a major tournament leaves Oakmont, for example, the country club goes back to being a country club, and they've got a board, and they've got all these guys.

Jay DelsingGUEST
And one of the things that people loved to do back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s were plant trees.

When, when he, when he drives the ball like he does, like he is now, he can absolutely dismantle a golf course.

Jay DelsingGUEST
You know, the guy's won 23 times on the PGA Tour and, and, and two major championships.

Jay DelsingGUEST
Yeah, you know, Randy, we've been on this path for way too long in the PGA Tour, as far as I'm concerned.

Jay DelsingGUEST
In the 90s, we created these World Golf Championships, and they were this great idea that we were going to have the best players in the world competing against each other all the time.

Jay DelsingGUEST
But what it did, Randy, is it developed a significant tier system, not only on tour, but on our sponsors.

Jay DelsingGUEST
And what we did is we wind up pricing ourselves out of so many companies' budgets.

Jay DelsingGUEST
For example, the Shell Houston Open, Shell had had a tournament or had some sort of involvement in the PG Tour since its inception and supported golf like no other.

Randy KarrakerHOST
Who are some guys that have the game, and you mentioned the cross wins, so the game to stay out of the rough but handle the way the greens are protected at Shinnecock?

Have you seen that with other guys, and why do you think it happens with Scottie?

Jay DelsingGUEST
You saw Rory with a big lead, six-shot lead at Augusta, the largest lead of all time.

Jay DelsingGUEST
And, and then wound up on Saturday getting everybody back into the mix, and then Sunday steps up and just walks away with the championship.
