So Jasper Lorenzen, I, uh, I grew up in the great bluegrass state of North Dakota, actually.

That's where I was born and raised until I was about 16.

But we had one bluegrass festival in the state, the Missouri River Bluegrass Festival at the Cross Ranch State Park.

They're not too far from where I grew up.

And my dad... would get invited to come over there or will get hired to come and sing on Sundays for the festival because it was they liked having gospel music and he sang tenor in a gospel quartet so the you know it was him and three of his friends and he played guitar and then they just they sang hymns um so we started I don't know if we went the first year that he got hired to be there but he was like hey this is kind of cool like all these people just show up at this park and bring their campers and their tents and there's shows on the stage and then everybody's jamming afterwards and at the time i've been playing a little bit of guitar and my sister had been playing violin for a while so he was like let's go.

And you rolled it into traveling now.
