What was the reason behind that? We originally were called Playa

Real Estate Group, then Riviera Maya Real Estate Group because we were expanding, and then Mexico Real Estate Group because we were expanding.

But then we noticed so many companies calling themselves something real estate group, this real estate group, also many very similar to ours.

So it was getting too confusing and we never thought we would rebrand.

I always wanted to keep with our own brand as we worked again, hard on our reputation and whatnot, did a lot of TV shows, different things to really draw attention to it.

But we were given the opportunity with another brokerage, a friend of ours, Elizabeth Gregg, who knew the owner of Christie's, but she was only on her own.

She's just a small boutique real estate company.

What for you and what do you think in general are the main traits to become a successful real estate agent? Honest, hardworking, and no pressure.

So for those that do not know you yet, give us the high level overview of what you do down in Mexico at Christie's.

Well, I'll give you a quick little background.

Moved here in 2005, so pretty much 21 years ago, from Canada, Winnipeg.

And after the first year of working within a real estate company, started my own company.

Had that going for 20 years now, and just over a year ago we rebranded with the Christie's International brand.

So that's been huge for us.

Now we are a recognized luxury international brand, so it helps a lot with listings, clients, just people feeling more comfortable 'cause, you know, a lot of them have Christie's in their areas and they've dealt with them before, and they know the name very well.

Okay.

The investigation, however, goes nowhere.

Here was a, a true, true victim, an innocent victim, an innocent man trying to make a, an honest dollar.

Uh, just retired and trying to enjoy life with a, a woman he'd been married to for 60 years.

Uh, just trying to spend his last years of his life, and then someone come and take it.

And so it was frustrating.

He did?

And so at that point in time, Mr. LeVasser apparently begged for his life.

He told them that, "Listen, hey, take my money.
