acromion clavicle

yes yeah yes so everyone thinks it's it's not the shoulder joint it's not the ball and socket joint it's above that okay and below that joint is where your rotator cuff lives and that joint itself is is stable by some ligaments so between the two bones there's these stout ligaments the ac joint ligaments and then there's the ligaments that really matter are the ones that come from this You probably can't feel this one, but your coracoid is this pointy bone in front of your shoulder, and there's ligaments that go from here up to your clavicle.
13:50
And when those are violated, that's when you see someone that you're like, what the heck happened to your shoulder? Why do you have, why is it like you have a big bump sitting up there and it moves and they feel like they pain and things like that.
14:02
So that's your AC joint.
14:04
And when you fall and you, most AC joint injuries in football or contact sports, you fall directly on that shoulder, okay? And what happens is you compress that AC joint and you either sprain, have a grade one sprain where it's just your AC ligaments, or a grade two or three where it involves the bigger ligaments the more stout ones and that causes so much pain that sometimes people they can't even move their arm for a day or two oh
17:53
What exactly is a sprain in a joint like that?
17:56
So inside that joint, there's a little disc, okay? And then surrounding that joint are these ligaments.
18:03
And so when you compress that disc and when you gently, when you slightly stretch or rip those ligaments, it creates a reaction, right? And it is inflammation.
