But I wish that they could because there are some really good people in California who are suffering under this stupidity.

Well, I think that is unfortunately very true, and I think that the frustration out in California has really started to boil over.

In fact, they actually have an initiative that's going on the ballot this November that would require both voter ID and proof of citizenship in order to be able to vote in California at elections.

That's not a silver bullet, but the fact that that is being put before the voters in California, I think, speaks to that frustration.

And then, of course...

For anybody who is living in other states, even conservative states, I've got to tell you, there is a lot more that could be done by our states to ensure that non-citizens are not voting.

In fact, in Missouri, just this past legislative session, we were working with a lawmaker, Ben Brown, to get a much stronger proof of citizenship requirement.

It's infuriating, and it's a giant insult.

How so?

Well, right now Virginians are h- are going to the polls to decide whether or not, uh, the state is going to have a, uh, a 6-5 map that more or less reflects, uh, the current breakdown of the Virginia electorate or a pretty radical gerrymander that would turn that into a 10-1 map and flip four seats from Republicans to Democrats.

And now we're watching the money pour in hand over fist.

We're at almost $65 million that have been poured into this special election to flip those seats, and the result of this, again, is going to be a net pickup of at least four seats in Congress for the Democrats, which, uh, follows what they did in California last year with Prop 50, this, uh, attempt to gerrymander these states into, uh, into essentially guaranteed slots for Democrats in Congress.

They're saying that they have to stop the MAGA power grab, that they have to, uh, to stop Donald Trump.

That's really what the message is all about.

It's all about stopping Trump, and, uh, I think that's actually persuasive, unfortunately, for a fair number of folks here in Virginia.

If it is not overturned, if this is voted into effect, does this set a, a dangerous precedent for the state?
