But really interested to hear about Back then.
6:25
Yeah, I guess to add the partner with Greg Bitt in and then how it all come together.
6:31
I got a job at McDonald's like a lot of good, good young kids do.
6:34
And that was a great story.
6:37
You know, 14 years and nine months, like the day I could get a job, I went in for that job interview and was happy as got it.
6:43
You know, I wanted to make money and basically blow it all every weekend and then learn the financial lessons later.
6:49
And my crew trainer was Greg, my now business partner.
10:16
As I'm saying that, I'm like, oh my God, it's like he's, yeah, I'm staring at it here.

Ba da ba ba ba
11:21
Uh, I think the biggest thing to understand, I think the...
11:23
When I got saved, the, the, the thing that would... always bothered me is that it was always cloudy about what was g- what happened before Jesus was walking on the Earth.
11:32
You know, like, how did people go to heaven? What did people have to believe? You know, all of that.
11:37
And it wasn't necessarily that they were preaching wrong about it, right? It's not like I went to, like, a Baptist church and they're like, "It's straight up works, guys, back in the Old Testament." It was just the fact that they didn't really talk about it.
11:47
They didn't really, like, give you that information and say, "Hey, they believed it was by faith, by grace through faith back then too." Right? Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and the idea of Abraham is our example, I believe, when it comes to believing.
12:02
It's not that Abraham's the first person to ever believe, okay? [laughs] But he is the example.

22:44
Were you pretty attached to your community? Did you like it there? Did it feel like home? Did you venture out of your town or of the state? Or were you always just sort of focused on where you were?
22:57
So the quick of it is I, I grew up in a, um, what, what we would have called back then a blue collar factory, uh, family.
23:08
My dad went to work 40 to 60 hours a week.
23:10
My mom, for the most part, stayed home, took care of us, or had a part-time job occasionally.
23:16
And we just didn't have a lot of money.
23:19
Uh, for us, travel meant going an hour to an hour and a half away and camping maybe 6 to 12 weekends a year or going hiking.
23:29
And, you know, we didn't know what we didn't know.

31 MINS LATER

54:35
How would you describe the feeling of when you found out, and how did you move on from that?
27:05
And is there a lot of people who do, you know, that you've seen at a number of these different events, sort of a culture in and of itself where you go, oh, we did this marathon together, we did this half marathon and we've sort of met each other in different places either around the country or the world as well?
27:19
Yeah, the culture and the community side of it is incredible.
27:23
Even up there on Sunday, I ran with a mate and that was my 10th marathon on Sunday.
27:30
And this particular mate's done three marathons over the last four or five years and all three of them have been with me.
27:35
And we had this moment where we're running next to each other and was just like, it's pretty special to be out here with your mates doing something good.
27:42
His kids were there running as well.
27:44
Um, my little nephews want to come up next year and do the two kilometer kids dash.
32:23
