Well, it's funny because growing up in Ely, there wasn't much Welshness, right? We were aware that we supported Wales at football and Wales at rugby, but other than the Welshness, now, for example, a lot of in my circle are friends, they spoke Welsh at home and their Welshness was kind of like evident yeah from an early age whereas I think my Welshness grew so even though I was aware that I was from Wales and I was Welsh and we supported Wales in the football and the odd St David's Day celebration at school it wasn't until I started learning Welsh and studying Welsh at university where suddenly I realised all that stuff the first language Welsh speaking households in Gwynedd and Ceredigion have learnt and like, you know, the fight for S4C, for example, the fight for the language, all the history.
