Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me? Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people, and you have done nothing to rescue them.

Then the Lord told Moses, Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh.

When he feels the force of my strong hand he will let the people go.

In fact he will force them to leave his land.

And God said to Moses, I am Yahweh the Lord.

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El Shaddai, God Almighty, but I did not reveal my name Yahweh to them, and I reaffirmed my covenant with them.

Jared, have you ever been in a place where it didn't matter what happy thoughts or happy Bible verses people shared, it just felt like there wasn't light at the end of the tunnel?

You know, maybe it's to create this, like, video of, like, answers from – like, going around asking students questions and getting something back, and then – there's been a couple of times it's just like i've completely run out of time to edit that and put that all together and so i've had this big idea it's like taking so much time to go and film it or i've half edited it and then all of a sudden it just i can't can't get out i don't really feel like that's a backfire as such but um you know i struggled with this one today jared have you got a plan that's backfired

Again, I've struggled with this one too.

I'm a bit of a, well, not a bit of a, I'm a real overthinker.

But I do overthink things and launch into a plan very hesitantly, you know, if I haven't sort of put a lot of thought into it.

Do you have any ideas around how do you explain that, Jarrod? Is there anything that pops to mind? I don't know if there's an actual answer in the text why, but does anything jump out at you,

LAUGHTER Look, what's interesting, too, I found, and before we get on to the third part of that, was that God did the stick and the snake example with him and then immediately did the hand example as if he knew that um moses was going to need more convincing than just a um a one trick sort of thing he was um uh you know there's definitely no commentary in there saying that moses said no the stick's not going to cut the master and the lord's gone right well how about this then he's sort of he's given him two up sort of knowing that he's going to take a fair bit of um convincing into doing this so

But, no, look, you were fairly short and to the point, and I think, to be honest, praying about this, and like I mentioned before, the topic of this being about get out there and, you know, and do something outside your comfort zone is what's driven me to turn up.

So I don't think anything probably more so than that.
