Now, I really hate to break it to you because you signed up for this talk on how the Eucharist can save civilization.

But there's a problem.

Civilization has already collapsed.

Now, people might look around and say, well, what do you mean? I just got an Amazon delivery today.

Civilization can't be gone yet.

And then they come right back.

Isaac Jogues in particular.

Yeah, Brother Rene was tomahawked before Isaac Jogues could get out of there.

But, you know, I want to just relate a little story because, you know, for the actual anniversary, I was actually up in that area for my brother's wedding.

Wow.

It was just providential.

And so, you know, to me it was just very significant, and that's why I wrote this piece.

Can you comment on how determined all of these martyrs were to the sanctification of the land that they were entering into and that they were inheriting, and how that stands as a kind of compelling witness for us Catholics to not take for granted the blessing we've been given in this nation and to work towards its ongoing sanctification for the glory of Christ?

For temptations to sin.

And that's literally, the word is skandalon, a stumbling block, right? Woe to the world for these temptations to sin.

For it is necessary that temptations come.

right?
