So tell me what happened and then tell me how it changed the way you practice and you show up for your clients.

Jared MaynardGUEST
So beginning of 2023, I had been two years out of the clinic and full time into my business, Unbreakable Strength.

Jared MaynardGUEST
Um, I had spent most of my life after growing up as a fat kid with no self-confidence and being made fun of for my weight and shifting away, hiding away from other kids.

Jared MaynardGUEST
And then finally, after trying sport after sport to find one thing, my parents did everything they could to find one physical activity that I could take to Kung Fu martial arts was finally the thing that I took to.

Jared MaynardGUEST
which was incredible because it gave me the means to feel safe and protect myself physically, but it also gave me the first taste of confidence, which was highly addictive and gave me the audacity to think that maybe I didn't have to consign myself to what all the other kids were telling me.

But if you've ever done, like I did taekwondo for a few years, and they're very focused on bettering yourself as a person, and it's like... it's there's a lot of lessons from it that people would greatly benefit from in society

Jared MaynardGUEST
fully fully agree and i i don't know like you said don't know how many people seek that out specifically for the life lessons the mr miyagi moments but it's the stuff that like yeah you probably go in to be a fighter to be able to take care of yourself which was also part of it for me like oh i'm a fat kid who now i can like take people down and stuff like that's that's pretty fucking awesome um and then you've learned those things along the way which for me was like was massive So because I had that first positive experience, which I stuck with for about three years or so, then that made me think it was possible the next time that there was a sport that I wanted to be involved in, oh, I can go do that.

Jared MaynardGUEST
So that happened because we had a family movie night tradition and we watched Remember the Titans.
