So, as you know, it's kind of listened to throughout the province and very much a sounding board and a great platform to get out a message, even if sometimes, and I think yesterday we had the president of MONFA on the program and may have said some things that you may disagree with or take some issue with.

Well, you know, people in this province care deeply about Memorial.

I did, though, want to clarify three things that were mentioned yesterday.

Just to ensure I do appreciate your listenership and this as a venue.

So I just wanted to ensure Newfoundlanders and Labradorians understand.

We're well informed, both on the challenges the university is facing and how we're navigating them.

Were these announcements last week, the 107 jobs, were they in a news release like this, or was it only printed in the Gazette?

What's it really like sat in front of the government officials?

I think if you want to influence and persuade someone, you need to understand where they're coming from and what their challenges are.

And you still need to be able to make your case, but you need to understand that.

When you're talking to a minister, a minister most of the time, for example, Stephen Kinnock was our minister for the last two years since the general election.

He's just left and he's moved into a new sector of state role.

But he was responsible for the whole of primary care.

So that's doctors, dentists, doctors, us, and also for social care.

What is price concession? And once we sort of get our heads around that, then we can sort of look at, okay, is it working and what could be done differently about it? So what exactly is price concession and how is it promoted?

So I've been here four years.

And so I suppose I've been in four negotiations.

My first day I was in negotiations in the job and they did say to me, did I want to make a speech? And I said, I'd rather not.

So that was quite a learning process.

And that was on years four and five of the previous five year deal.

What were the three biggest sticking points or the most difficult things to decide on during negotiations? And which of those do you think are resolved and which still need to be discussed?
