So how did your educational pursuits shift over time and how did you discover art as something you were passionate about?

Yeah, I feel like I kind of stumbled into, you know, really this realm of sculpture, but I can say that I often trace back this interest in material culture and objects to our family house that we grew up in because while we didn't have We were pretty much only our nuclear family in the United States.

Much of my father's family was in the Dominican Republic.

My mother's family was still in Norway.

But sort of the objects and images in our house that connected us to those places, a lot of times it was through like a sweater that Aunt had hand made, you know.

like a painted gourd that we had gotten in the Dominican Republic that sat, you know, on a table.

And there was this sort of mixture of all of these objects from different places that coexisted with one another and also of different time stamps as well.

And I was wondering how that came about and where that kind of is right now.
