Jane, where do you think the problem lies? I mean, presumably the board's need to involve braille experts to get these exam papers with modifications printed accurately.

So I think it's probably worth just noting that recent evidence does suggest that there has been an improvement, so things moving in the right direction.

And this is not only from Ofqual's most recent delivery report from 2025, but also from a Braille roundtable that RNIB attended recently, when the specialist settings were there the schools and colleges for students with vision impairment so the settings that are the biggest users of braille papers and they did all report an improvement and we are hearing the same as well from qtvis who come to talk to us but there is still a lot more to be done and as has been alluded to it's a complex system involved in producing these papers And you really need those experts.

So you need people with the right level of Braille knowledge.

But you also need people who are experienced in teaching subjects, the specific subjects to Braillists involved in that process.
