When-- So wh-when we receive a referral from a provider, whether it's a, a fellow OD or, or a, a, a, a corneal specialist or whomever, I, I like to send a quick note after the initial consult just saying, "Hey, we just saw mutual patient so and so.

Here's why they were referred over.

Here are our findings." And as in terms of findings, well, maybe we're looking at HOAs, so y-yeah, they do have some elevated HOAs, or, or here's what we can do to their visual acuity with a scleral lens, and so here's our plan, right? We plan on fitting them an XYZ lens.

In those notes, I will always mention that, you know, we took a scleral profilometry and based on their, their eye shape, we're going to need to design a free-form scleral lens.

Or in there I'll also make sure I mention, once we've got a stable fit, we'll measure for higher order aberrations and consider whether a wavefront-guided scleral lens will improve their vision even further.
