Well, as far as the metro transportation plan, uh, for these parishes, which are basically the Baton Rouge metro, um, how substantial is it?
35:43
Um, w- you know, we're looking at a lot of money.
35:45
The, the mayors and parish presidents will be spending close to $120 million just over the next four years.
35:51
And then the state is finalizing its long-range plan right now as we speak, uh, so it should be coming out soon.
35:57
And it is a much more of a maintenance focus, but it's still a lot of money coming to the Baton Rouge area.

So when you consider that, uh, in the Baton Rouge area, the, the interstate pavement quality and also the national highway system, which is our major roads, like LA 1, Airline Highway, Florida Boulevard, have relatively poor pavements compared to the rest of the state, you're gonna see a lot of money coming our way, like you are on LA 1, to do some rehab and, uh, fix those roads.

Tracy at The Capital asks, "How do we fund our roads and highways and byways comparative to other states?"
37:10
Um, our, our, I think, I think our road tax at the state level has been, uh, not increased for, I think we're the 49th out of 50 states, so we are woefully behind other states in increasing our tax revenues.
