So can you talk to us about where you're from and what you've been doing and why that work matters?

Yeah.

One important piece of that, too, is to know that the nonprofit, the Wilkes Historical District, came actually months before the bridge went down, ironically.

But I am five of six generations in Wilkeson.

My great grandparents came here separately from Italy, met in town in the early 90s, and then they had kids and their kids had kids.

And so my daughter is the sixth generation.

And this town, Wilkeson, is rooted on coal mining.

I think it was on one of your podcasts, which is super smart and wonderful, where you talked about the issue of cutting off access to public lands, which, I mean, there's so many things that are at play here.
