8:18
Right.
8:20
No, I think he'll be back in there soon enough.
8:25
I want to see how he finishes up the year.
8:26
I want to see Jensen finish the year strong.
8:29
He's obviously had a really good year offensively.
8:31
He's done a really good job behind the plate as well.
8:34
We've got some things to look forward to going into next year with this season being lost.
10:54
They cannot have those two in the lineup next year and to be taken seriously.
13:46
It's stupid.
13:49
On all sides.
13:49
If we want to talk a little bit about golf, I was just telling Jake.
13:52
On all sides.
13:53
I was watching the tournament this weekend.
13:54
Oh, yeah, I know what that is.
13:55
And I listened to the starter.
16:31
But to win the game.
9:00
I don't even know if they have enough money to do that.
9:02
Well, and there, there aren't many true number ones out there.
9:06
I mean, let's be honest.
9:07
There's maybe 10 at best.
9:10
And so you, you gotta fill your rotation with the, you know, 3's and 4's across the board.
9:15
And if you can get five of those guys to stay relatively healthy throughout the course of the year...
9:20
I mean, if you go through less than, I don't know, eight starting pitchers in a season, I think that's a success f- across the board for, uh, e- everybody in the league with, with injuries happening more and more and more than they ever have, um, to be able to r- you know, rely on less than eight guys throughout the course of the season.
13:45
No
40:50
I thought he would be a good reliever.
40:52
But on paper, we talked about it right here.
40:54
Like, okay, we've got a decent lefty in our pen.
40:56
We've got Lynch still down there.
40:58
I mean, we knew Estevez wasn't doing great in spring training, and then what happened on the first game of the season, you could see that coming from a mile away.
41:07
But having – ursa you know do what he's done the last couple years i'm like okay that's fine we can afford to you know be down a guy and then tell
42:22
Take out that ninth inning to see what's in it.
42:25
Well, a great example of that, too, last night I'm watching the Rays game.
18:42
Hmm.
18:42
Uh, Kyla Jolas, who used to be the, uh, head softball coach at the University of Houston.
18:47
Uh, myself and then two other, uh, Japanese coaches that had played in the Industrial League over there, and they've been a part of this, uh, camp.
18:55
So you have kids from, uh, 12 different countries, including United States, Canada, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Nepal, Philippines, Malaysia, Germany, uh, Slovakia.
19:08
Uh, and we did, you know, six days of camp, and then those kids and their chaperones and their, and, and their translators all stayed in a dorm-type situation.
19:17
So they would do cultural stuff when they weren't on, at the baseball field.
19:21
Uh, we all got to go to a Japanese big league game.

11 MINS LATER

30:32
What do you think about that in 2026? You think money and the sheer volume of it will speed this thing up at all?
0:48
Yeah, I
0:48
mean, a lot of people don't realize Japanese baseball...
0:52
A lot of people realize how big Japanese baseball is, but if there's a guy that... epitomizes and as a god as far as japanese baseball goes it's sadahara oh he hit 868 home runs uh in the japanese league um and so man he's he's revered over there is the best word i can say for and he was around every single day so that that was pretty awesome um and so they bring kids from 12 different countries and we had kids from nepal malaysia uh germany slovakia philippines u.s canada japan really nepal yeah and so um doing camp for six straight days we would they would have a chaperone with them from their country and then they would have an interpreter with their group so uh every single day we were you know going over baseball skills doing all that type of stuff all the all the kids stayed in a dorm together with the chaperones and the And the other coaches.
1:47
And then we six coaches were in a hotel in downtown Narita City.
1:53
Got to hang out with the coaching staff and go to dinner.
1:56
It was awesome.
1:57
Who were the other coaches? So, Louie Camargo is a guy that actually lives in Brazil.

13 MINS LATER

15:08
So
34:37
And you would think that if he didn't feel pretty comfortable, um, he, Wouldn't have cracked
34:44
a joke about it.
34:45
I do have to giggle every time I hear the term student athlete these days because we're not really sure if they're even going to class at all.
38:12
He's
38:13
clearly not being serious, but he's also trying to be funny with the rivalry.
38:17
I've not heard the first one, I-70.
38:21
Oh, yeah? I've heard that one.
38:22
I hadn't heard the
4:46
How about these Royals? Sure.
4:51
I mean, I was listening to you on the way in, and I felt the same way.
4:56
I was watching the – caught the end of the game and two quick outs in the ninth and then a base hit.
5:03
And then I couldn't believe that ball got out off Adamas, to be honest with you.
5:07
I did not think when it left his bat it was – No, absolutely not.
5:09
I thought Cags was going to catch it above his head.
5:13
But kudos, you know.

29 MINS LATER

34:44
You will
31:23
But, I mean, like why specifically don't you like him?
31:26
I don't know.
31:26
I've, I never liked him playing with the Hot, with the Hotspurs for Tottenham, and I, I don't know.
31:31
I, I think he, he's kind of a lame dude.

9 MINS LATER

40:20
Where can people get ahold of you if they need you?
40:22
Uh, 913-908-9035, @bundyjr19 on X, or bundyjr19@aol email.
38:11
He seems like a very easy to root for guy
38:13
...
38:13
Kags just started, Kags just started slow.
38:14
He had a pretty good stretch in there where he did pretty good, but man, that's a, that's a big stage and, um, I mean, he didn't embarrass himself, but Jordan Walker, man, I, tip your cap to that kid this year because with the struggles that he's had, I mean, there was a chance that he might not even be on the big league club this year, and started off well and having an All-Star year.
38:36
Not just a Home Run Derby year, but he's, uh, he's doing a good job for them, so I liked the setup.
38:43
Did you hap- did you catch any of the Futures Game?
38:46
Just a little bit.
38:47
[clears throat] I saw a thing the day before, too, where they had Ryan Howard versus, um, somebody else, and they had a softball player, and they were set up, uh, at second base, and they were hitting balls out.
1:28
I'll send you the link
1:28
to it.
1:29
You can watch it at the break.
1:31
The words are hilarious.
1:32
I mean, it goes with the video.
1:35
So we're shooting off fireworks at my dad's house, and I've got this giant JBL speaker that lights up that, well, I had it at the wedding, and We had it going while we were playing, and Emily's like, that is the 17th time you've played this song today.
1:49
And I said, well, I'll take the over.

10 MINS LATER

12:09
I was out
2:51
I was very proud of it.
2:52
I mean, that's the crazy thing about surgery is I think a day after surgery, I mean, they have you with a— you know, trying to do range of motion stuff.
3:00
And I mean, I was diligent about my rehab and all the things.
3:04
Thank you, Nick Schwartz was my rehab coordinator for all those, you know, all those sessions and all that, then going into spring training.
3:11
And you just don't know.
3:12
I mean, it's different than having to go have shoulder surgery and then just to go live a normal life versus you have to actually go compete and get people out.
3:19
I mean, I think that's why, Even in this day and age, which is as much as we advance medically, shoulder surgery is such a crapshoot because they've got to go in there and take out whatever is default and defective, and then your body's got to recover and be able to strengthen and do it, whereas with the internal brace procedure and with the full Tommy John procedure, I mean, you're getting a better ligament than you had to start with.

8 MINS LATER

11:43
And so it's like, okay, I mean, you know, it's going to be July now.
37:13
driven in 45, and like we said right now, enjoying a 19-game hitting streak.
37:19
That's nice because right before I think all this started, he was mired in a bit of a slump.
37:24
And then to have him rebound and do this, and a lot of times during this streak, It's not coming down to his last at-bat.
37:30
He's gotten his hits in early, seen the ball well, and bounced around a little bit in the lineup with Cags being out.
37:38
I mean, he's bounced.
37:39
Bobby being out.
37:41
You know, leadoff spot.
42:00
Yeah, I mean,
40:27
someone that can? Have you seen someone suggest that?
40:31
Excuse me, I heard you talking about the girly thing.
40:33
I mean, there's little tricks.
40:39
I know that Alan Bennett, if you remember Alan Bennett, Alan could get seven baseballs in his hand.
40:46
And then you've seen that from some old clips off of This Week in Baseball or something like that.
43:38
Circumference is the distance all the way around.
43:42
Let's go with weight first.
43:44
You know how much a baseball weighs? You should know this.
22:55
you're going to do.
22:57
Through the WBSC, World Baseball Softball Confederation.
23:00
And I had done that for, you know, 10 years pre-COVID where I had gone all over Europe to do camps and clinics.
23:06
But they reached out in January and said, hey, there's an opportunity for guys that are on the WBSC Coaches Commission.
23:14
If you want to put your name in the hat, they're going to select some guys.
23:17
And so I put my name in the hat and got selected.
23:20
So 10, 11, and 12-year-olds from 13 different countries.
23:36
Me too.
26:14
move, though.
26:15
Yeah.
26:16
I mean, it's time.
26:17
I mean, I was just thinking about that on the way in today when I was looking at our roster now with guys that weren't even in the conversation when we were talking back in March just because of injuries and we were talking about depth and we thought we had some back in March.
26:36
Now you've got guys that kind of weren't even on the radar, especially pitching-wise, that are now in the rotation and in the pen.
26:45
So, yeah, I mean, time to make some decisions and try to restock for next year.
26:51
I mean, any time that you want to contend, Things have to go your way in a lot of different ways.

14 MINS LATER

41:10
the bat.
9:43
Are we just not what we thought we were this year? Are we just not good enough? And is it time to make some moves so we can address the areas where we're not good enough going forward?
9:51
Well, with that five and a half, the tricky thing is all the teams that you have to pass.
9:56
Which is everybody.
9:56
And that five and a half.
9:57
And with not playing as many games within your division as you used to, and now you're going to get into more interleague play and we're playing the – it's going to be harder to close that gap.
10:08
between those guys because you don't play them head-to-head uh you don't play them head-to-head a lot so to be able to whittle those games down you have to rely on them to lose to somebody else not to you uh and to be able to i don't know how we're five and a half games back how many teams are ahead of us for that last wild card spot five six i mean it's still only june 9th i get it but at the same time Is this what this team is going to be the rest of the year? Now we've got Bobby Witt.
10:37
We'll find out today what's going on with his D.

6 MINS LATER

16:41
Well, that's what I was
30:13
Hey, so you're up in Lawrence on Sunday.
30:18
I did, yeah.
30:19
So last weekend when Georgia Tech and Oklahoma were playing, Lebo and I were texting back and forth, and back in 93, we got sent, Wichita State got sent to Georgia Tech for a regional there.
30:32
We hosted my freshman and sophomore year, and then we went to Georgia Tech, and that was... nomar garciaparra and jason barrett tech and jay payton and all those guys so we we went there as i would assume we were a two seed they were the one seed and we ended up beating them at tech to go to omaha in 93 so i know how that place is to play down there so to see you know georgia tech with their offense man their catcher reminds me of charles johnson that used to you know be in the big leagues for a long time with the florida marlins and a bunch of other teams that was a good georgia tech team and You know, Oklahoma just played great.
31:04
Pitched just enough and obviously hit enough and rode that momentum from beating the – I think they were the number two seed.
31:12
I think overall Georgia Tech was.
31:14
They were, yeah.

6 MINS LATER

36:47
Shortstop for KU made an error on what could have been a double play ball.
6:43
Well, I mean, as long as it
6:45
doesn't feel too wrong.
6:47
That was the whole thing.
6:48
It's the story of my life.
6:49
The difference, you know? And to go out there and pitch every time that...
6:55
they answer the bell, you say yes.
6:57
I mean, but I think now it's so easy to be like, oh, man, something doesn't feel quite right.
8:42
Is there anything you would have done different with your shoulder?
27:03
That sends Oklahoma to Lawrence, Kansas for the Super
27:08
Regional.
27:09
Two days in a row, big comebacks by Oklahoma.
27:13
Todd and I were texting back and forth the entire game yesterday.
27:17
We actually, I got to play in that ballpark in a regional back in, nom back in 1993 we got sent to uh we got sent to georgia tech after hosting my first two years freshman sophomore year we got sent to georgia tech for a regional 93 and that was as you guys were talking about that was garci par and veritech and and that whole crew down there but we actually won that regional to go to omaha and then had a good run in omaha so not the easiest place in the world to play but to be able to come back with with no that's what Todd and I were texting back and forth like nobody's got any pitching left especially Oklahoma happened to one there was a rain delay and they got games pushed back so they got to play x amount of games in a short period of time so you had guys that had barely you know even gotten on a bump throughout the course of the year and they their offense just kept bailing them out and I mean, when the guy hit that, I didn't know if that ball was out.
28:13
But, man, 452 feet walk off to beat Tech.
28:18
That's fun.
Todd Leabo
Todd LeaboPANELIST
31:13
He's got sore feelings about Tech, so.
