People who I knew who could deliver.

The kind of writers who I thought had a track record in this, in this field.

People who were excited and enthused by Thunderbirds.

I think that's probably the key thing.

Everybody had to be somebody who has a lot of love for Thunderbirds, and I think all of that really comes out in different ways-

But was that something you were sort of like, "Oh, yeah." Or was it a bit of a restriction to-

Well, that w- that was baked in from the beginning.

That's nice,

isn't it? Well, Karen and I are old friends.

And she's a really, really great writer.

And she's had some experience writing fantasy and science fiction.

But a lot of her stuff has been for sort of small press.

So I had an opportunity here to give basically a friend of mine, give her a break, give her an opportunity to write in an existing franchise.

And I knew that she was a dynamo of Thunderbirds fan from way back when.

How much notice were you able to give them? When did this project first start and when did you start approaching them?
