Take me back before dealing with productions and catch us up to where you are today.
1:36
sure absolutely so um i always um had an affinity for film i always loved watching films but i was always fascinated by the the craftsmanship of film uh so before i was even out of high school and i got my first hands on a camera i knew this is kind of what i wanted to do in life so i did my undergrad at william and mary And then I went on to American University and got my master's in film and video productions.
2:09
And then I went up in the, went more of the corporate side of productions, mainly in the audio visual world, came up.
2:20
uh doing uh being a director overseeing a lot of the properties out in philadelphia and then but i was still doing like uh film projects here and there but throughout the whole time a lot of these projects i felt like something was missing and there was a lot of times that i got i was getting frustrated both from a quality standpoint but also from not having the right mindset of telling a story, especially for people that have different types of walks of life.
2:55
It's not just telling the story, but also understanding the technical and the equipment necessary to help visually tell that story.
3:09
I felt like I was on a lot of projects where some people were not able to do that clearly, especially with people of darker skin complexions.
3:19
So I actually was having this conversation with my sister, and then we both started this business and we started DeLuminous Productions back in 2019.
