We probably got there midnight and got in our barracks probably 4:00 in the morning or whatever to get a couple hours of sleep, and I remember turning over and a tear comes out of my eye and down my nose.

And I s- [laughs] I said to myself, "Damn, only 364 more of these to go [laughs] before I get out." You know, I already, already knew I didn't like it there.

Sevens, isn't it? So, you know, there's a bit, there was always a bit of a quarterfinal challenge for us as a squad for, you know, back from 2010.

But actually each individual performance is quite different.

And that's the, I guess that's maybe what made the biggest difference for us is there was an element of it that felt like getting on a rollercoaster with sevens.

We hadn't necessarily had the best season if you looked at the table and if you looked at, you know, how many points we had.

But actually as a squad, we'd galvanised pretty well.

Even in the first tournament against in Dubai, we'd just about beaten England.

But like really, you understand the point of it.

The SOG guys and the Green Hornets gathered on the runway, the way they did before every mission.

mission.Before you took off, you would brief and you would shake hands and hug the team members and the crew members.

Not a lot s- talking going on, and what's going on here is what you see in, in football when men stand around and hold hands, these big guys hold hands.

There's a bonding going on there.

What you're doing is you're saying, "I'm gonna take you, and I'm gonna put you out in the middle of hell.

If you have to come home, I'll bring you home.

That's my duty, it's my honor.
