James DodsonGUEST
Well, you probably enjoyed the Winchester chapter where we learned about George, I learned about George Washington, early George Washington's life, what a failure he was, sent there by the Royal Government of Virginia to set up the bulwark against the French incursion from Ohio, and he was an absolute failure at it, at least in the beginning.

James DodsonGUEST
And he ran for office, his first office there, after pulling together a unit and heading west and getting his tail whipped by the French, came back and ran for his first public office, which he lost to an opponent who brought barrels of rum to the polls.

James DodsonGUEST
And he later credited so much of his success as a cool headed, a cool-headed leader to the terrible things he learned, including he was involved with Edward Braddock, the proud, arrogant British commander who was brought in to finally kick the French out of the edges of the English territory and was massacred.

David D. ScheinHOST
And Francis Scott Marion is credited a lot with damaging the British to the point where they moved north up to Yorktown.
