Apat na linggo na nating pinag-uusapan.
0:02
This is our fourth week na.
0:03
0:37
Ang mundo ay talagang laban sa kabutihan.
0:11
We've been spending four weeks, this is our fourth week, talking from this idea of how can I live in Babylon faithfully without allowing Babylon to live in me? And we've been looking at Daniel and his three buddies, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and their example of how they were able to live in this pagan culture that did not glorify God.
0:35
In fact, it was very anti-Yahweh God, which resembles...
0:39
Metro Manila.
0:40
It resembles life outside of the four walls of this building where we're having church.
0:46
The world is very anti-God.
0:48
It's anti-kingdom of God, and it's very much controlled and ruled by the devil.

And with whatever money is left, give away and serve the community.
50:28
This one I remember, and this is when the pandemic hit.
50:33
And I'll never forget sitting with Yusel and looking at our tides.
50:36
And I remember having a moment where I was sitting there going, all right, how long can we pay our staff? before the money runs out.
50:46
And doing all these financial projections and how can we take care of the staff? How can we lower our wages to make sure we can take care of everyone? And I just remember going through this whole thing.
50:56
I heard stories of even people within our church that were told to stay home.
51:01
And so they couldn't work, they couldn't earn, they weren't allowed to go out and they weren't getting food.

15 MINS LATER

65:44
So I love you.
0:00
So today is my third week in this series na Living in Babylon.
0:04
We are going to make it four weeks.
0:06
Tatapusin ko ang series na ito in two weeks time pagkatapos ng ating birthday kapag bumalik na tayo dito sa Crown.
0:13
0:11
So today is my third week in this series called Living in Babylon.
0:14
We're gonna make it four weeks.
0:15
I'm gonna finish up this series in two weeks time after our birthday when we're back here in Crown.
0:20
But we've been talking about what it looks like to live in modern day Babylon.
0:25
And we've been using the book of Daniel as our foundational text and going through the stories the last couple weeks of Daniel first and then his buddies Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
0:35
And they were teaching us how we can live in Babylon.

14:55
no.
14:57
It's him.
0:00
Nagsimula ako ng series noong nakaraang linggo na tinawag kong Living in Babylon at ang buong idea nito ay galing sa Book of Daniel.
0:09
0:11
I started a series last week called Living in Babylon.
0:16
And the whole idea is, this comes from the book of Daniel.
0:18
I love the book of Daniel.
0:19
And it's this idea that Daniel and his three buddies, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were taken from Jerusalem, taken over to Babylon.
0:27
And they had to work out how to live in a foreign land with foreign gods and everything foreign to them.
0:35
And the whole idea is simply this, is that today we live in Metro Manila or whatever city or barangay that you live in, that we are living in our own Babylon today.

I believe we're going to get a car.
31:26
I believe we're going to get a house.
0:11
Well, last week we started this series called Living in Babylon.
0:16
And if you don't understand what that means, essentially where we live today, Betro Manila, is our modern day Babylon.
0:24
It's the city, it's the world outside of the kingdom of God.
0:29
in which we live in.
0:30
The kingdom of God is not a building.
0:32
The kingdom of God is wherever the king reigns.
0:00
Daniel.
0:01
Gustong-gusto ko ang Book of Daniel at grabe ang mga nangyayari dito sa Book of Daniel.
0:05
0:14
That's a series for another day.
0:16

for your honesty
4:49
yes uh uh yes thank thank you you're a man so i'm i'm sure your wife's good luck tonight uh So my mom, my mom would just yell at us, nope, no one gets up, no one's allowed, and we would ring.
5:07
We weren't allowed to answer the phone.
5:09
We would always wonder who it was.
5:11
If it would ring two or three times, we would think there was an emergency, and my mom would be like, nope, the emergency can wait until after dinnertime, right? We had rules at our house.
5:21
In my house now, I've got three little kids, and would you believe, no one believes me when I say this, but my wife backs this up.
5:28
I am the quietest person in my family.
